This clinic is for all skill levels of splitboarding!  Bring your questions and we’ll tackle it.  Everything from Introduction to Splitboarding, Touring Techniques, How to do a proper kick turn, Navigating Steeps, etc.

This clinic will teach you the basics of backcountry splitboard travel. We will  discuss the necessary equipment, training and techniques needed to splitboard safely in the backcountry.  Following discussions, we will embark on a short tour into the backcountry (depending on snow pack and weather) and focus on effective touring and transition techniques.

For intermediate and above snowboarders with little to some backcountry experience.  You don’t have to be completely new to splitboarding to take home information from this class!

Class starts at 10am and can go as late as 2pm.

Necessary Equipment – If you don’t have everything, please contact us about RENTALS

  • Splitboard, bindings, skins, poles, pack
  • Snowboarding Attire
  • Beacon, Shovel Probe

Clinics will be cancelled if we have less than 2 registrants 48hours prior to the class.
Clinics may also be cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours prior due to bad weather conditions and/or avalanche dangers.

    This class is a great intro to how to splitboard and use the gear correctly. The instructors are super personable and knowledgeable and took us out on a mini backcountry adventure after the class. I learned a lot of new techniques that have definitely helped me become a more efficient splitboarder.
